Transduction has recently designed  very reliable VDU that complies with all regulatory requirements for US nuclear power plants of a Class 1E Video Display Unit (VDU) to the generic levels of seismic, environmental and EMC requirements in accordance with IEC 60780, EPRI TR-107330, IEEE 323-2003, IEEE 344-1987 and USNRC Regulatory Guide 1.180 Revision 1 (IEC 61000), IEEE 1012-1998, and IEC 60880.

Designated as a "remote control room" for nuclear power plants TR-VDU-8000 is also an excellent computer server for military  COTS applications.  Its shock, vibration, EMC and environmental specifications exceed MIL-STD-461E specifications.

TR-VDU-8000 consists of TR-MAXIM-NS computer server with 8 processor cores using two Intel Xeon Quad Core E5345 2.33GHz processors with parity FSB and TR-LCD1900-NS rack/panel mount monitor with resistive touch screen and 1280 x 1024 resolution.

TR-MAXIM-NS server with 8 processor cores also includes dual head DVI/SVGA video adapter, 2 x fibre type 100 Mbps Ethernet ports, 2 x SLC Flash 32 ~ 256GB high speed SSD, 3 x front USB ports, 1 x rear USB port and fused 12VDC power output for TR-LCD1900-NS monitor.  Power is provided by dual redundant load sharing 800W power supplies with universal AC input 90 ~ 240V, 50 ~ 400Hz and has over voltage and under voltage protection, alarm on failure of each voltage and alarm on failure of each air fan.

Operating temperature range of the TR-VDU-8000 is 0°C ~ 60°C (32°F ~ 140°F).

MTBF of the TR-MAXIM-NS computer server is in excess of 100,000 hours and MTBF of TR-LCD1900-NS rack/panel mount monitor is 50,000 hours, limited only by the life of the LED backlight.   Warranty is 5 years.
